Displaying Personal Address Book (.PAB) in Outlook

If you no longer can create new Personal Address Book (.PAB) in MS Office Outlook 2007, you can add the names and addresses from old .PABs to the Outlook Address Book.

You can import the old Personal Address Book files and convert them to Contact folders, which can be displayed in the Outlook Address Book.

When you import a .PAB file, Outlook places the information into a contact folder. Your contact folders, by default, are available in your Outlook Address Book.

Each contact folder appears listed as an address book within the main Outlook Address Book. Just follow the given below steps to get this done.

  1. On the File menu, click Import and Export.

  2. Under Choose an action to perform, click Import from another program or file, and then click Next.

  3. Under Select file type to import from, click Personal Address Book, and then click Next.

  4. Under File to import, browse to the folder where the .PAB is located, click it, and then click OK.

  5. Under Options, choose how you want to handle duplicate contacts.

  6. Click Next.

  7. Under Select destination folder, click Contacts or a subfolder under Contacts.

  8. Click Finish.

If you are looking for PST recovery software to rescue corrupt, damaged Outlook PST files, Kernel for PST Recovery is the best choice to go with. It recovers all lost, inaccessible and even deleted emails in least time. Software is quite affordable too.
